Instructions for updating requester contact information
Sometimes you may need to update a requester's contact information or change the requester associated with a request. This commonly happens when there is a typo in the requester's information, or when they no longer have access to the original email address they submitted the requester under. Please ensure you verify the requester's identity before making any changes to their information. If the requester can login to their account they can also make changes to their contact information.
Steps to change the requester on a request:
- Go to the request
- Click on the Pencil icon next to the requester's contact information
- Enter the requester's email address to search for the new requester
- If the requester is found, select them from the drop down menu and Save
- If the requester is not found you can either create a new requester account through the link provided or search for the requester under Admin>Users and toggle Show Requesters and Show Deactivated on in the upper left hand corner before searching
Steps to edit a requester's contact information:
- Go to Admin> Users
- Toggle Show Requesters and Show Deactivated Users on in the upper left hand corner:
- Search for the requester's email address currently associated with the account
- Click the pencil icon to edit the user
- Make the necessary changes on the user and save
